Athletes & families

Do you negotiate NFL or NBA playing contracts?

No. True Path manages everything outside the professional playing contract, and works collaboratively with each athlete’s certified contract advisor. We are not competing for that role — we handle the business, brand, and life that surrounds it.

What does off-field management actually cover?

External brand partnerships, philanthropic foundations, youth camps, appearances, social strategy, business development, and the daily logistics that eat an athlete’s time during a season.

In practice it means one team handling the things that would otherwise be spread across five people, so the athlete can focus on the game.

Can I work with True Path if I already have an agent?

Yes — that is the model. Your certified contract advisor handles your playing contract. We handle everything outside it. The two roles are complementary, and we coordinate directly with your advisor rather than around them.

Do you represent college athletes for NIL deals?

Yes. For collegiate athletes we provide NIL representation, deal negotiation, brand positioning, social strategy, and career development — with the goal of establishing real market value early rather than taking the first offer that arrives.

Do you work with high school athletes?

We do, with a focus on recruiting support and early brand foundation rather than aggressive commercial activity.

Where an athlete is under 18, a parent or legal guardian is involved from the first conversation onward and signs anything that needs signing. Please have a parent or guardian submit the contact form on the athlete’s behalf.

What sports and leagues do you work in?

Our current roster competes in the NFL and NBA, alongside collegiate and high school athletes across multiple sports. If your sport isn’t represented yet, it’s still worth a conversation.

How do your fees work?

Fees depend on the scope of what we’re managing, and they are agreed in writing before any work begins. There is never a cost to reach out, ask questions, or find out whether we’re the right fit.

What happens after I reach out?

We start by listening. The first conversation is about understanding where you are, what you want your career to build toward, and whether we’re genuinely the right team for it. If we’re not, we’ll say so.

Brands & partners

How do brand partnerships with your athletes work?

Tell us the campaign you have in mind — appearance, social campaign, community activation, sponsorship, or something less obvious — and we’ll come back with the athletes on our roster who actually fit, not just the biggest name available.

We handle the athlete side end to end: scoping, scheduling, deliverables, and execution.

Is there a minimum budget?

There’s no fixed floor. The partnership form asks for a budget range so we can suggest something realistic from the start rather than after three rounds of back and forth. Community and youth-focused activations are often smaller than commercial campaigns, and we treat both seriously.

Can a campaign involve more than one athlete?

Yes. Multi-athlete campaigns are often stronger, particularly for regional activations where two or three athletes cover more of a market than one. Tell us the footprint you’re trying to reach and we’ll build the roster around it.

About True Path

Are you a certified contract advisor?

True Path Management does not negotiate professional playing contracts and does not hold itself out as a certified contract advisor for that purpose. Our work sits outside the playing contract, alongside the advisor who does hold that role.

For NIL representation, we operate in accordance with applicable state law and the athlete’s school and conference policies.

Who runs True Path Management?

Founder and CEO Jamond DuBose, a former Division I football player who competed at three programs, started at two, and was voted team captain at one. He founded True Path to give athletes the guidance he wished he’d had. You can read more about Jamond.

Do you help with camps and foundations?

Yes, and it’s a real part of the work rather than an add-on. We plan and run youth camps end to end, and we help athletes launch and operate their own foundations so giving back becomes a lasting program instead of one-off donations.
